The art room is an exciting place for students to come and learn. There are a variety materials for us to use in the art room to create many different types of artwork and sometimes it can get a little messy in here when we are being creative. If you are worried about your child getting stains on their clothes, please send an art shirt or smock to school for them to keep in their locker and wear on their art days. If you don't know when your child has art class, you can look below:
This year we are learning about the Elements and Principles of Art. For our first project, students in first through sixth grade created a sketchbook to use throughout the year. We will use these sketchbooks to write and draw about all of the Elements and Principles of Art and then we will create bigger projects to culminate our lessons. Students with their sketchbooksBEE YOUR BEST!!!Students are expected to follow the classroom and school rules at all times when they are in art class. We are happy to have a Positive Behavior Program here at Switzer this year and students are doing great using the 3 B's in the art room- Be Respectful, Be Responsible, and Be Your Best/Safe. I love handing out tickets to students who are showing me the 3 B's in the art room! Keep checking back at this website to view some of our cool projects and happenings of the art room.
