The kindergartener's learned about warm & cool colors, sizes, and pointillism when they created these beautiful fall trees. For the first week, we talked about different sizes and warm & cool colors. Students traced a circle on their page for the leaves of the tree and then they drew a trunk and branches in 3 different sizes, Large, Medium, and Small. Their next step was to color and paint the background using the cool colors of blue green and purple. On week two, students learned about artist George Seurat and the style of pointillism. Then students used a q-tip to dot warm colors inside the circle on their tree to create a Fall Tree in pointillism style.
